Vasiliou Law | Y. Vasiliou & Co LLC had the pleasure of attending on the 22nd of July 2023, the conference on “Building structures for intercultural integration in Cyprus: Reflections and next steps ” which was organized by the Civil Registry and Migration Department in cooperation with the Council of Europe.
The conference reflected what has been achieved over the last two years within the framework of the project and future steps were discussed. It also included a presentation of the recent study visit to the intercultural cities of Barcelona and Santa Coloma de Gramenet, which was followed by a panel discussion with the Mayors and Deputy Mayors who participated in the visit on the potential to adapt some of the integration practices seen in Spain, to the Cypriot context.
The aim of the conference was to show how the conceptual, analytical and policymaking tools of the Council of Europe’s Intercultural Cities Programme will continue to support intercultural integration in Cyprus, through the implementation of the 2023-2025 action plans and strategies of the five regional intercultural networks.
